A Far out Dream. (A Pokemon Story) Empty
PostSubject: A Far out Dream. (A Pokemon Story)   A Far out Dream. (A Pokemon Story) EmptySun Jun 14, 2009 7:56 pm

Christmas morning, 3 years before the events of the Red, Green, Blue Arc of Pokemon Special.

Within the town of Viridian City, the morning sun barely lifted into blue sky children far and wide awaken anxious to see what Saint Nick left under their trees. For many, gifts of games and toys filled their hearts with joy while others were covered in warmth with their new sweaters and socks. But, for one young man his heart was filled with a dark feeling. He did not receive what he truly wanted.

This did not go unnoticed by his caring mother who sat nearby.

"I am sure he didn't forget sweetie." she said in a caring voice. That did not cheer up the little boy as he held the sofa pillow closer to his chest. This young man will be turning twelve in the upcoming month and is about to begin his Pokemon Journey just a few days later and all he wanted was to see one man on this special day. Within that moment a small unison cry of Pokemon could be heard near the front door of their small home. The mother's smile returned as she knew who had finally arrived. She arose from her place on the sofa and made her way to the front door. The child apparently did not hear the small cry.

With the opening of the front door, two small creatures scurried through the house running straight for the young man. To his surprise the Pokemon Jumped on top of him cuddling up beside him. The boy was laughing and happy as the two Pokemon played with him. One was pink the other was light blue, but both Pokemon looked very similar yet different.

"Their names are Nido and Nida," said a new firmer voice. "Onerio, you should know these two Pokemon better then anyone. Our Gym Leader uses these two's evolution in all his battles." The man in a brown overcoat and rugged brown hat is seen accompanied by the boys mother very close by. The boy lightened up to see his own father here on Christmas day. He ran up and hugged his father. He too returned the hug with equivalent exchange.

The man stayed home for the rest of the day, watching his son play with his two very first Pokemon companions. You see the boy admires Viridian City's Gym Leader and the ground type Pokemon that he uses. His dream is to become a Gym Leader much like his hero Giovanni. His father a leading scientist and archeologist of Pokemon is a close friend to the Gym Leader. His close connection with him allowed this boy's father to attain A Male and Female Nidoran.

The day grew late and the sun now beyond the horizon, Onerio was tucked into his bed along with his two new friends. His father dressed in his traveling gear gave his son a kiss good night but before he could leave the room Onerio asked a heavy question.

"Are you gonna leave again?" the boy almost afraid to ask. The man reluctantly returned to his son's side.

"I know this is sudden but I really am needed on the field. My colleges and I are on the brink of a new discovery." his excuse was not bought. The boy eyes sadden at losing touch with his father yet again. The father's heart torn from it's hold was hurt far worse then his son could imagine as he wished more than anything to be by his son's side the day he leaves for his journey. So without second thought he removed his hat and placed it on his son's head.

"It's my lucky hat. Your Grandfather's father wore this hat the day the passage to Mt.Moon was discovered and has been with our family since. It's been passed down through the generations and I am now giving it to you. Promise me you will return it to me when you become a great Pokemon Trainer." Onerio grabbed the hat that was now placed upon his scalp and held it close to his eyes. Within the opening of the hat he saw a red inscription sewed into the hat.

"Raid On the City, Knock out, Evil Tusks."

The end of the prologue, tell me what you guys think.

Felt like it. Seemed more appropriate. I already have the next part in my head which takes place in the Sliph Co. attack But I am unsure if I should do more on Onerio's journey or just do the Sliph Co. one. Actually if you read the manga your find out why Giovanii founded Rocket. But I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't.
