| This makes me want to raid the local supermarket for fresh produce! Pokemon: Electrode (Apple) Nature: Modest Ability: Static Item: Focus Sash EVs: 252Sp.A/252Spe/6HP Set: -Thunder -Taunt -Thunder Wave -Signal Beam Purpose: -A semi-sweeping set. It's not very different from the rain dance set, but I just wanted to bring that strategy into doubles. Incomes the taunt, followed by Rain Dance from my partner. I can then use any attack I feel useful. I'm not going to use Explosion because of the fact that it will kill my other pokemon. Pokemon: Floatzel (Orange) Nature: Adamant Ability: Swift Swim Item: Focus Sash EVs: 252Att/152Sp.D/100Def/6HP Set: -Rain Dance -Waterfall/Aqua Tail -Ice Punch -Brick Break Purpose: Can't have fresh fruit without water! ^_^ -Here's the dancer, Floatzel. Great attack power and great speed...Speed so good that it doesn't need a helpful nature and EVs to be very high after the dance. I have EVs in both defences so it could have a shot at surviving. However, I just want to make sure it lives with another sash. Waterfall or Aqua Tail? Flinch hax and max accuracy or more power but has a chance of missing? I can't choose. Brick break is for any other thing that comes at me. Ice punch is for those ground types who try to sweep my Electrode. Have fun reviewing! ^_^ Edit: Saxy, I didn't even know that your Floatzel had this set until I posted this. I really just chose moves from it's move list. I never even looked at your RM. | |

| Looks pretty good. Although I think T-Wave on a Rain Dance team [possibly] full of Swift Swimmers and speedy Electric-types is redundant. It could be replaced with either HP Ice (for coverage) or throw Explosion on it and put Protect on a teammate(s). Also, on Floatzel, HP > defenses. If you have little HP, you can't survive many attacks, no matter how high your defenses are. | |

| My team isn't full of swift swimmers and fast pokemon. These are the only fast pokemon on the team, so I put in Thunder Wave for later pokemon. I said I wouldn't put in Explosion. That's too perdictable and will kill me. Protect will just take up an extra slot, anyway.
Is HP really more importent then EV'ing defences? I thought the higher the defences, the better it can withstand an attack.

anyways nice lead strategy it's obviously scarfed timid gengar because floatzel and gengar are both base 110 speed pokes

| I don't think a Gengar is going to bother me (as this team is for UU/NU battles only). | |

| o ok didnt have time to check thx darkraven. i thought maybe for PBR or something to take down noobs, at that point you need those speed EV's. anyways, are the defensive EV's for something specific? | |

| I have the defences EVs to see if I have a shot at surviving. I might switch them for HP, though.... | |

| both electrode and floatzel are of godly speed... so you don't need half of the speed ev's, which you can invest in HP and defenses. Electrode explodes. And everybody sees it explode a lot. So maybe give it explosion and floatzel protect? Maybe give Floatzel Return over BB for near-perfect coverage (bar shedinja, dialga, and empoleon)? LO on electrode maybe? It's not as weak as you may think defensively. | |

| Nagi, put Magnet Rise on Electrode.
It annoys so many of those Ground Types that will come in and just EQ away!
Signal Beam.. Is it really going to be useful? Decent power, great Accuracy, nigh on awful coverage!
