File Help?

Hey guys remember my thread about uninstalling winrar? well i did. But now every zip i download it says :

(Name).zip

File Type: Winrar zip

Now can you help me change it back to the normal archiver?

Also I use Vista so...

What's the exact problem? You should be able to extract the files by right click > Extract...

The file will say it's unkonwn

Reinstalling WinRAR then... Or... Re-Associate the files again...

Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > New > then type .zip

Try that.

1. I dont want anything to do with winrar for the rest of my life and 2. tryed that but i cant find file types

I think I have it figured out SSHG. I had a problem similar to this except it wasn't Win Rar.
What you need to do is go to Start>Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall Programs Then you'll see all the programs you have and go down to WinRAR and uninstall it. Hope this helps.

Nope I removed it still same thing zips are not openning!
