Kind of rough aroud the lining of his head but other than that I like it.

I like it, but you should try fixing the lining around the head, it makes it look like if the image was made on photoshop, copy/pasted to paint and then had the outline made there

If it was rough around the edges, you should take the time to fix it with the lasso tool. Or you could smudge it, it'll hide it but sometimes not enough.

If your using gimp the best way to get good cut outs is using the intelligent scissors. But it typically is best just to find PNG images.
