So recently I was playing my copy of Pokemon Soul Silver, and I got a call from my "childhood friend" Lyra on my Pokégear. She said something along the lines of "One day I was walking with my Marill, when right before my eyes, it evolved into an Azumarill! I was so surprised!" So I went back to my hometown to check in with my friend and to see her new Pokemon. But when I came into her room, it was still her small, normal Marill. So is this merely a mistake they just didn't bother fixing? Fail

ITs obvious she has another Marill, and thats the one that evolved, because since she still has a Marill following her, and you dont know cause you've never seen her battle.

well most trainers say their ppokes evolve but then they have the same ones when you rematch them.

But the other trainers who say they have evolved pokemon are just liars, your childhood friend has nothing to gain from lying to you, as opposed to the random trainers who lie to get a rematch.
