"It's ok to steal fanart!"

So I found someone who posted a signature on deviantart.
I thought it look sort of fanartish, so I commented:

I saw google used, and google is a no no since people 'accidentally' use fanart

sometimes I do use fanart, but not on this one. If I ever do use fanart, I never try to pass it off as my own. :3

If the original artists ever tell me they want credit for their pictures or want one of mine taken down, I'll do it. So hopefully, I won't have any problems with this kind of stuff.

No, its called stealing. And most fanarts are horrible in the first place to begin with. I'm better off stealing images in the prada photobook, or scanning magazines. 9_9

Its copyrighted by da/you anyways, you can pursue legal action.

i tl;dr'd your original post btw i was hoping you were asking us if using fanart was stealing

I want my hard worked image end up on a crappy signature you know the persons gonna show off on a forum without giving me credit, while he receives all the credit for it.




I also want to show up on a ED article saying how I'm against tracing, and deviantart's talentless members and how they get thousands of pageviews for producing such wonderful garbage to blind me. Yes the more I make sense the more chances I end up being in an article.
