Class Decision Empty
PostSubject: Class Decision   Class Decision EmptyFri Oct 01, 2010 6:48 pm

OK, so I took environmental science this year because I wanted an easy class, but it's so boringly easy that I feel like an idiot and not learning anything plus I have all of the stupid/annoying kids in the class and am not enjoying myself. I'm thinking about moving up to physics because I find it pretty interesting and want to learn something, plus most of my friends tare taking it. The problem is that it's a hard class, and the teacher says since I'm missing the first trimester I'll have an EXTREMELY uphill battle trying to learn it during the second trimester. The only way I see this working is if I start trying to learn the first trimester material at home while still taking Env. science. The issue is I'm busy with my other classes and don't know if I'll have enough time. What do you guys think I should do?

Go to the class you want. Stay after school for like a hour to catch up.

You could stay in your current class for the first trimester while having the physics teacher teach you all of the things you need to know for the class after school, during lunch, before school etc... If he/she is willing to do so. You say your friends are also taking it so they can help teach you the stuff. It is also beneficial to them because teaching something to someone is a very good way of studying. After you learn all the info you need to know, switch in and have fun Smile

I think you should do it. I transferred into AP Chem 2 months in because I was stupid, but I was able to catch up relatively quickly. You just have to review the crap out of the material that has already been taught. It's worth it if you aren't being challenged

Well I take Chem Honors which is what you take if your not in envir. science and It is pretty difficult. If your physics class is worse the nmy chem class, I'd stick with envir science. But I don't know your study skills so I say if you think you can handle it, do it but be aware of the long road you have to catch up

Thanks you guys, I was feeling really unsure and intimidated, but your encouragement has really boosted my confidence.
