The New Chapter of Uuttitan - The Move

To be able to do this last move, we need to keep a few things in mind, and also come up with one important thing: a name.

Now, I want to come up with a more creative name, and have considered using different languages and such to get a more exciting feel (like Serebii and Smogon).

Also, Main focus is key. Do you want to continue as a pokemon community, or do you want to change what we are into something more of general gaming. Voice your opinions, or be lost in this change of pace and lose your chance to be a part of this.

NOTE: We won't have this Blue and Grey layout anymore. It has served us well, but its time to change this as well.

I'm sorry for what I did, just ban me now if you don't care.

But I'd like to help with stuff to do with the new forum, I promise I won't flame

Shame, it was going so well... Well change is for the best. I'm not in a particularly great mood toda, but I'll offer some suggestions.

I think we should retain the fact that it is a pokemon forum, it is the reason why we all came here in the first place.

With an active Off-Topic/General Discussion area - that's all I ask

I like the idea of this being a pokemon community, but we should focus on some other gaming as well. That doesn't mean drop pokemon completely, but maybe we should have a few less sections about pokemon, and more about things like retro gaming, newer games, and instead of having a Wi-Fi area for mario kart, pokemon and Brawl, we should just have a Wi-Fi area for everything.

I am not good at coming up with names, but how about the KanDan forums?
I just thought that it was a funny idea.

General gaming will attract more people fo sho.

Firstly I've seen loads of forums based on Mario Kart, SSBB, COD, things like that, there are not many that do everything. Secondly doing more events, tourneys and competitions, everyone loves that.

As for name, something more complex and unique.

More stress on other games but let's not let the pokemon section take to big of a hit. I say keep a discussion and strategy sectioon but loose the POTW and Mechanics section.

I also agree that the name should be something... cooler.

There already was a forum that existed called Dan-rik, which was ran by Dan and I when Uutton was around because people liked the way we ran things more than the way he ran things. Ironically, Uutton is gone and now we do run things.

As much as I rather not just ditch this place, the focus of the forum is basically two people who aren't even here anymore, so the point of continuing that is stupid. We tried too, but apparently without TJ and Aaron there is no point trying to keep this place afloat. Giga has already proven to me that he has no interest in helping us, he just wanted to help himself. (Ironic, he claims to want to come help, but refuses to advertise because we wouldn't just give him full power back.)

Awe, its moving time. Well I only have crappy ideas for names: K-Dan forums, Kanrik-Gravy? Yeah that's all I got.

Ok, time to make this a point.
The forums are NOT going to have anything to do with Dan and I as their name. If we did that, then if there were some reason why WE would leave, then the next people in line will have the same overall problem as we are having now. Thats not going to happen.

I think the focus should still be on pokemon, but have other minor game sections as well

And wow this forum has been going on a year, pretty much all of it without giga and months without uutton

PokeCrib
PokeVault

I like PokeVault shortens to PV nicely.

Lets NOT focus 100% on pokemon? I would find it better if it was just 100% gaming. No fourms for MKW,SSBB,etc. And all games attract more users. 100% Gaming, with a MINOR fourm for pokemon/nintendo.

I still want to focus on pokemon, but I agree, we shouldn't focus 100% on pokemon.
I think that if we had less sections about pokemon, and more about other games, then that would be nice, but at the same time, it would be nice to have at least 25% of the forum focusing on pokemon.

Also, we should get rid of the sports section.
If we want to talk about sports, then we should do it in the general discussion area.
