You should follow common sense :I

The lighting is where all the highlights are, not the shaddowy parts. So move the lighting to the left.

Also, the text wouldn't be so plain. It could be something like:


You can use multiple layers, you can even add effects to it!
(Just pointing it out so you can visualize what I'm saying)

Also needs more effects, its kinda plain right now, but it looks pretty nice. Colors blend in.

Think of it as trying to capture a scene. Since Homer's in a war right now, maybe you can add some effects on the gun to make it look like its shooting out (or something).

I was not making this in order to get a 10 out of 10 from you. I was making this out of bordom.

I like the lighting you should see they orignal render of homer it was dark as hell

I tried to add effects to the gun but nothing i could do could make it haqppen. I also felt it was pretty empty.

I really hate text that is like the way you showed its used in EVERY signature -_-
