Who is the best lead?

Who is it? Is it Azelf, Aerodactyl, Metagross, Machamp? What do you think?

I think Dodrio and Ambipom are awesome leads

It totally depends on your team. Also, there is not a best lead since every lead hasna counter in the form of another lead. If there was 1 particular best lead, everyone would just use that.

Aero is good for heavy offense
Forretress is good for stall
Machamp/Gliscor/Starmie etc... Are good for balanced
Electrode/Uxie are good for Rain

The list goes on depending on your play style and synergy between the team.

Roselia Machamp (hmm i should make splice of them cuz there the best leads)

I prefer all suicide leads who can atleast take out the other's lead hopefully stalling them from setting up their "plan".

But out of yours, it depends on what type of lead you want, refer to Scnoogle's post

What counters Aerodactyl?

Scarfed Rachi. Nuff said. It alsos counters lead Aerodactyl.

What counters Aerodactyl?

Well, since Aerodactyl's goal isn't really doing damage but preventing SR in the form of Taunt and setting up SR itself, the only thing that prevents its goal is ScarfRachi as ninjatreecko said. Some Pokémon can use Fake-Out and/or Bullet Punch (Infernape, Machamp, and Metagross) to break its sash and limit it to only use Taunt or only use SR because Aero will fall to Close Combat, Meteor Mash, or a Dynamic Punch the next turn.

Dugtrio makes a pretty immense lead being honest - Catches alot of metagross/aero/azelf/starmie leads offgaurd.

I like colbur berry azelf, anti-lead d-nite and meta
machamp's pretty good too, so is starmie
i dont really like suicide leads but that's just me

and it is also the absolute worst

Exploding electrode will always be the best ever since R/B/Y. I think a good lead is one that can both set up and then proceed to kill the oppenet.

I like Scarf Roserade.

I used to use him but i realize rosarade is 10 x better

caterpie is the best lead evar.

Gliscor. The way i use, no matter what lead you send out i have some kind of counter to it by using a combination of high speed, prediction, u-turn and power, and super defenses, it can anniahlate basicaly anything by just uturning out to the counter.

but that is more of a purely anti-lead lead and it wouldn't really do well if your team really needs stealth rocks to do well

sr can be set up later by a bulky poke if needed
also
gliscor leads carry sr, lol

in` NU, venamoth or butterfree work nicely as suicide leads.

I do like counter/destiny bond leads but if they're predicted then they usually fail
