1 Million Black and White games pre-orded! O.o

I just read on Serebii that 1 Million B/W games has been pre-orded, making it the fastest seeling game on DS! What do you guys think about it? I think it is really cool that the games sels so much.

I'm not suprised. Pokemon is Nintendo's third powerhouse after Mario and Legend of Zelda.

On topic, I'm not surprised that happened. Pokemon is very popular and is one of Nintendo's powerhouse so you shouldn't really be surprised.

I was just surprised that the same mistake could be made twice without him checking spellcheck. I'm really not surprised, poke games are insanely popular, and they were built for wireless handhelds like the DS

On topic, That's not bad news for Nintendo. It'll bring in a lot of revenue, though if you ask me, I'm not ready to leave 4th Gen. The Pokemon aren't bad, though I do question many of Black and White's new features, such as Dream Smoke, where you go to this place where you can catch Pokemon with different abilities? Plus, I think Nintendo really overdid it with Triple Battles. When Doubles was first introduced in 3rd Gen., it was understandable and not too different from Singles other than a bigger array of simple strategies that people ages 6 and up can understand. Now with Triples, they throw all this superfluous mechanics crap that is a bit difficult for veteran and novice players alike to understand.

I don't know really what to say about it. I'll buy the game, undoubtedly, but the one thing I'm excited for is all the new Pokemon, except for Zoroark and Zorua...

Their abilities aren't what I expected.

Well triple battles are ok they will explain more of it in the game.

All I know is that rotation battles are more simplistic.

Rotation battles are like singles except the pokemon on the left and right cannot attack, and 3 pokemon are revealed. This means you have better prediction for the pokemon's attacks.

Don't take my word on this, I don't know a lot.

I think the triple battles are goign to be pretty cool. And rotation battles are going to be a nice way to train your skills on predicting.

This may be a tad off topic but it seems fifth generation pokes are gonna be really stupid. I mean seriously have you seen some of them? They look ridiculous, there's something weird about them, tbh it doesn't look like pokemon.

Btw pokemon is an ENORMOUS game so 1million pre-orders is probably under what Nintendo expect LOL.

The 5th gen pokemon look way to japanese, I think. And, dare I say, kinda like digimon

Okay, let's all face it: During 4th Gen., everything started to look like Digimon, and now 5th Gen. looks like Yu-Gi-Oh, hence the Zekrom Reshiram=REBD BEWD fad. The one thing is that as Pokemon moves on into the future, Pokemon are less like Pokemon. W can already see this in 3rd Gen., where if you compare Groudon and Kyogre to Ho-oh and Lugia, they have different constructive styles. The 4th Gen came rolling around, and Dialga and Palkia become more and more constructively detailed, not to mention the Pokemon, which do start to seem to verge off of traditional Pokemon. Now with 5th Gen, Reshiram and Zekrom become even less Pokemon, and the Pokemon that follow also look rather weird. Seriously, Munna looks like it was drawn by a 7-year-old Pokemon fan. The creators simply ran out of ideas and decided to use some random stuff that they never converted to Pokemon because two gears put together with faces drawn on them is absolutely original . While some do look like Pokemon, others look like they belong in another series of games altogether e.g. Swana. Even some attempts at originality look absolutely drastic. Take Yanappu for example. Its design shows the extent of creativeness of the designer (Aipom with brocolli growing out of its head, lovely). Even Nintendo's attempt at making the Generation mascot, which is basically and Rodent or Rodent-like Pokemon with big, adorable circles on its cheeks, looks terrible. First a squirrel, now a flying squirrel. I understand the thing with Pichu and Pikachu, considering the former evolves into the latter, I do hope that the idea of a Flying Squirrel is meant to be the evolution of a Ground Squirrel. despite the colorations.

And I'm also quite disappointed about the news feed. The Japanese release date is so close, yet so little has been told. Even Serebii has little to show us.

Now I feel better.
