Sunflora!!!

This awesome Pokemon is ignored by almost everyone because of Sunkern's pathetic base stats and Sunflora's pretty poor Move Pool

Well... I know some of you won't have even realised Sunflora's 105 Base Sp.Att Stat! Yeah, it is as slow as a Steelix, hmmm if only there was a way to use that pathetic speed to your advantage.. Oh wait, Trick Room!

Yeah, This is gonna be a Trick Room Sunflora! (Not carrying Trick Room, but in a team that utilizes Trick Room)


Sunflora (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Earth Power
- Leaf Storm
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Water]


Here it is

With the given EV's, Specs and the 1 missing IV in Sp.Att (Which had to go so I could get HP Water) it hit 507 Sp.Att!!! Now... If anyone can run up a few Damage Calcs for some NU/UU Pokemon that this set will most likely face, it will probably show this thing doing either a crapload of damage or quite a lot at least!

Earth Power and Hidden Power Water effectively take out nearly all the counters this set is going to face. My only True Problem is Flying types since I doubt many Fire Types can take an Earth Power or HP Water from this.

Leaf Storm for when I just need to destroy most of someone's HP and Energy Ball for when I can't risk the Sp.Attack drops!


Please don't say things like, Sunflora sucks.. Use so and so.... Or Um... Have you even checked how bad this Pokemon is.

Try to have some constructive critisicm please!

(This set is not for novelty, but actually for a Trick Room team I am making of Pokemon that just get shunted by everyone else!)

Everything about this Sunflora is good. The only thing I would suggest you change is Sunflora ability. Since you're using this Sunflora in a Trick Room team, change the ability from Chlorophyll to Solar Power, since you don't want to give it a Speed boost. And as an added bonus, if you have Sunny Day up, Sunflora could wreak more havoc!

EDIT: I just checked. Sunflora doesn't get Earth Power, so I'd suggest you replace it with Sludge Bomb

Yeah, it's not often that Serebii misses something like that, but the same can be said about Smogon!

Bulbapedia, misses quite a lot these days though!

I just went to the Move Tutor place with my Sunflora on my Platinum, and it turns out that Sunflora can't learn Earth Power.

Shoddy and Smogon lied to you!

Serebii didn't say, but that doesn't mean its not true, so I'm not 100% sure.

All I know is that one of sites isn't correct. But which one...

I checked marriland and apparently sunflora cannot learn earth power

I'll leave it for now.

Though I will change it when we manage to get somewhere

it is kinda tricky sunflora CAN learn erth power but ONLY from move torutor in HG/SS and not platinum althrought they bolth can teach that move only the one in HG/SS has enought skill to teach it to sunflora

Sites need to be more specific with this kind of stuff, otherwise the whole Pokemon world would go into chaos...

lol i'll rate it! i saw that your changing the ability in case of sunny day, and Solar Power could actually be utilized to boost your power even more. EV's are good, and so is the moveset. cant really say much more than that, all i say is that sunflora actually has good options (sunkern is one of my fav nfe's) and they both learn SD, so if you needed a physical attacker he could SD on the turn that trick room is activated with a sash (not recommending changing, just kinda educating about an awesome sunflower ) pm me sometime and ill help you test your TR team

they are tiers
there's 6 tiers, ubers, overused, borderline, underused, neverused, and nfe
this is from order of strongest to weakest

these are the tiers that most people follow
