No, it is perfectlly reasoned.

The fact that your bid was lowered means an entire new bid is put in, which adds 24 hours..

think about it this way. if you made that typo in real life and you were a rich business man, it would cost thousands of dollars. instead, all you lose is Daiko. much better than being poor.
