| Hi guys
I recently checked up on smogon and Umbreon is OU!
I'm actually very surprised about this as I always thought Umbreon was taken down too easily by fighting types to be in OU
Can anyone shed some light on this? | |

| Yeah it got put down to OU quite a while back. =/
And you are right. Many of the good battlers of Smogon were angry. Because even in UU it is taken down fairly easily. And it has to deal with Machamp and Infernape in OU. =/
Apparently the people who voted for it to be OU couldn't handle it. >,< | |

| It wasn't voted OU, it actually rose to OU simply because it was used enough on the standard ladder to warrant it being in that tier. personally it's bad enough to be UU but whatever. | |

If I understand correctly, you think that Umbreon is a bad Pokémon in UU? OK, so basically to my knowledge, a Pokémon that can wall the majority of the metagame is bad... And on top of that a Pokémon that can set up a curse and be near unstoppable unless they have a strong fighting type or crit you is also bad... Sorry if that sounded harsh, but you obviously didn't play the last UU metagame before the tier change because Umbreon dominated that metagame | |

He says that it is bad enough to BE in UU. Or, basically, a glass half empty version of saying it's not good enough to be in OU, which I agree with. It really should be BL. =/ | |
