Is 3v3 a good idea?

it depends on what you like. Obviously there won't be too much depth to your team since you are using half of the regular. If you only want to do a short battle then it would be fine too. I all depends on what you like.

I like how positioning is going to matter. Other than that, I'm going to wait and see.

3vs3 looks cool! Probably light screen/reflect will do 1/4 in triples now.

Well, I think it is a pretty cool idea. Exploision, Protect, Reflect, and Light Screen will probably sky rocket in use. The positioning of the Pokemon thing could get confusing, though.

I'm just afraid it will lead to way too many people using the same exact pokemon.

I can tel you it won't be that well designed fifth gen, remember that doubles was broken in 3rd.

as long as they can find a way to stop explosiong from being overpowered( maybe cut the attack power a lot) then it could be a good metagame.

It just seems like it would be too simplistic to have a team of only 3. Maybe have a pool of 6 that you can pick out of, somewhat like pbr

I think it will be a catastrophe, you'll get a loada surfers and other moves which hit and no real stratergy will be put into it, and I also voted bacon even though I don't like bacon.
