If you try to switch with a sub up, will pursuit hit through it?

I think so but why would someone switch with a sub up.

If you have a substitute, the substitute would take damage and you wouldn't take damage?

it hits the sub if u switch
and people do switch b/c they dont want the other poke setting up on them if u cant do much damage to them

Switching on a sub is good if you, let's say, have an Alakazam in and they just switched their Spiritomb in. You get a sub on the switch, and your moveset is Psychic, Focus Blast, Signal Beam, and Substitute... You cannot do more than around 30% with Signal Beam and you don't want to be Pursued the next turn so you switch.

If you have a sub up and you switch while they Pursuit, the sub takes the damage, to answer your first question.
