Subject: My random compositions! Fri Jul 10, 2009 12:30 pm
For my GCSE music, I had to write two compositions...it took too long to do...I don't know what grade I got for them yet but once I find out, I will post it on here.
Composition 1: 'Constant Motion' (I used the dream theater lyrics and then altered them, which we were allowed to do) For this one, I had to write a song in the style of Britpop (like blur, oasis and stuff like that) vocals: Barney(my instrumental teacher) Lead guitar: Barney (again) Rhythm guitar: Barney(we did multi-track recording) Bass: Me Drums: Me
Composition 2: 'Mind Debris' (this is just what my imagination can do...it is in the minimalist-ternery form) this was recorded using instrument machines. For this one I had to write it in one of the classical forms which I chose Ternary which is ABA. I also wrote it with a serialist/minimalist twist.

It's hard for me to vote since I don't know the criteria or anything but I'd go with A.

I got my results in like august but forgot to post... I actually got a B in composition. I'm currently writing another song for A-level music which is in a Prog/metal style and I will post up when it's all done =]
