Dsi wi-fi problems

Alright, i know it isn't DSI ware related, but i do need help. Apparently every time i try to use my DSI's WFC it will give me the 051300 error code. Now normally i would just accept this, but there's two thigns that completely contradict this. First, my Wii's wi-fi works completely fine, without me ever recieving an error code. Second, my DSI can connect to the DSI shop, but not to WFC in ANY game... If anyone can help with this problem, or even wrap their minds about what's happening, iw ould love to have an answer. Thanks.

can your DS connect to wifi?

Also what type of router do you have, WPA or WEP?

WEP is compatible with both the wii and DS but the DS rejects WPA (and so do DS games; even if you play... Mario Kart DS on your DSI you still can't play online if you have WPA format)

My ds has connected once before, so it has the ability to but it randomly stopped ebing able to.

And it is WEP access.

My dsi has always been like this. I can connect to the shop, the internet channel, and any dsi ware games with wifi just not any ds games. But my wifi works with my wii. So this is very confusing.

You know I tried getting wifi once and I messed up our internet.Then my dads friend came over and reset the routers pin and stuff.I forgot the site name,but i am sure you can find it on google.
