Lol trust me, there is. If the format follows the same as it did last year, you go through 3 rounds before you make it to the Final 16. Once in the final 16, they take your game cartridge and take it to some room, which is where they check it for hacked format and stuff. So if you don't think you're gonna make it that far, then go ahead and hack your team if you feel like it.

What if you have hacked Pokemon in your PC. Will it matter?

It's not in Canada Anyways when the fifth gen comes out i'm just going to ev train the hard way so if a championship goes to canada i will be free All my friends hack or have r4's lol so if they go all go to NY then the will take the 4 hour drive and get caught lol

I already live in New York so it's only takes a little bit to get there.

I honestly wouldn't think so. It's only the Pokémon you're battling with that matters. I remember waiting for the Final 16 to begin when I overheard this guy say he hopes they don't find his hacked Cresselia in his box. I didn't see him get disqualified. So there's your answer.

Although, they said the same last year, but when I got there (I was literally the first one there; it started at 10am and I was there since 7am) there were so many people that they gave everyone a number 1-493, coordinating with the Pokémon in the order of the Pokédex, and then they would show the Pokémon and number on a screen to see if you're in. My Pokémon was Meganium (#154) and luckily I was called to join. Unfortunately, for those who remember him, CaptChickenWing00 also went to the same tournament as I and was not called. So I'm still a bit suspicious on the whole "First Come, First Serve" thing.

That would make VGC so much easier.

I'm hoping that's the case, being that not many people have seen me battle at all yet.
